Plot: This story is about Beth, who took some time off from her work to attend her sister’s wedding in Rome. There she meets Nick and all goes kind of well, until she gets drunk. Remembering that she is not so lucky in love she steals 4 coins and a poker chip from Fontana di Amore (The fountain of love). The legend said that if you throw in a coin you will find love, but she thought that maybe if she takes a few she might find love. Later she finds out that there is a second part to the legend, but she doesn’t believe it until she gets a few stalkers (the owners of the coins)…

Because his girlfriend has to leave town for a few days, Bob gets to spend those days taking care of her kids, a task not so easy for him. One day, after scooping around in Bob’s place, Ian (one of the kids) downloads a file from Bob’s computer and tries to open it. Plot: Welcome to Paris! A city where life takes its course and James Reece (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) is just an employee for the U.S. Ambassador in France. Everything changes when he is asked to work with a partner, an American special agent named Charlie Wax played by John Travolta. Agent Wax is not like an ordinary agent, he loves his wife (his gun) and has a way to make things a little too dangerous for Reece’s taste. Their mission is to stop a terrorist attack at the U.S. Embassy in Paris.
I know that this movie was released for some time now, but i watched it for the first time last night. What can i say, except that I LOVED IT. I know that many people didn’t liked it because it had too much blood and that the opening was kind of weird because it starts with cutting a man’s head in two, that the ninjas move way too fast in the dark and that they can heal like they have supernatural powers (these are things that my friends complained about).
I must say first that I’m an anime fan… a big one! And this is why i like the movie. All those things that people see as exaggerations in this movie, for me are resemblances to anime (Japanese cartoons… kind of…). I’m glad that even though this movie was made in Hollywood, the director (James McTiegue) kept an anime flavour to it. This movie reminded me of amine like Samurai X, Afro Samurai and Rurouni Kenshin, with beautiful fights, bloody scenes and, of course, limb-cutting.
The Korean superstar Ji Hun Jeong (his name as a singer is Rain) who plays Raizo, did his job perfectly. He shows that besides his looks, he can fight. The choreography of the fights was beautiful, with all those swords fighting scenes, and that knife with a chain that Raizo uses, and the jump-and-spin thing that he does.
The movie has a soft side as well, and here I refer to the feelings that Raizo starts to feel towards his friend, and that he tries to remain true to who he is, finding himself and discover that he is human and that he does have a heart, even though the life he was raised into is heartless.
Anyone can see this movie, if they try to see beyond the “exaggerations”. It’s a good movie and the fans of martial arts and those who watch this kind of anime will love it.
Plot: Ninja Assassin tells the story of Raizo, a ninja who turns his back to the clan that raised him after he sees his best friend is killed. Raizo was an orphan boy who was raised to become a professional killer, a ninja. After he decides to go after his clan, Ozunu, he teams up with Mika Coretti, a Europol agent who discovered that the ones who are behind various assassinations are ninjas. Thinking that Mika might be able to help him, Raizo saves her, and from here on they have to survive and destroy the Ozunu Clan.
Plot: The life of a 16-year-old boy, Darren Shan, begins to take a turn for the incredible and unexpected when the Cirque Du Freak, a traveling sideshow filled with misunderstood freaks, magical creatures and two vampires appears in town. After meeting the vampire Larten Crepsley and after a series of events he has to give up his normal life and family, leave with the circus and become a vampire.
Plot: Percy Jackson is an ordinary high school boy living with his mom and his stepfather and having some trouble at school. Nothing interesting about that, except for the fact that he is a demigod, half human and half god, and he doesn’t know it, for now at least. Everything starts after the lightning bolt of Zeus was stolen and he became the prime suspect. He finds out that his father, who left him and his mother when he was little, is no one else than Poseidon, and that he has powers he never knew he had. After being attacked and learning about who he really is, Percy must now clear his name and save the world that might be destroyed by the war between Zeus, Poseidon and Hades.
Plot: The action is set in the future, more exactly in 2019, when vampires live in the world like we do now, and the human race is going extinct. Because human blood is hard to find, vampires are starving, making them become wild, turning into monsters that will do anything to survive. But there is a vampire, Dr. Edward Dalton, who works for a pharmaceutical firm as a hematologist, trying to find a way to make artificial blood. Everything changes after he meets someone who found a way of turning himself from a vampire into a human again.
